Bespoke Letterpress

Our first stop is none other than Bowral’s most loved stationery store, Bespoke Letterpress. You might recognise these beautiful stationery designs if you’ve ever dropped into our very own stationery store; Honest Paper.

One of the world’s leading letterpress studios, Bespoke Letterpress is home to a retail store, letterpress studio and café; The Press Shop. Founded by Alischa Herrmann in 2007, the brand has grown and can be found across the world.

In Alischa’s hometown of Bowral, the retail store features a beautifully designed interior stocking all of their latest cards, wrapping paper, journals, and so much more. The space allows for shoppers to watch the team printing using the vintage printing presses making the space more than just a store; it’s an experience.

Dirty Janes

Just down from Bespoke Letterpress is the vintage marketplace; Dirty Janes. Think Newcastle’s antique centre, the Coliseum in Mayfield but bigger; much bigger.

Run by dynamic father and daughter duo, Athol Salter and Jane Crowley, Dirty Janes offers shoppers a unique experience sure to keep you busy for hours in the heart of Bowral.

With over 1600 square metres of indoor markets, Dirty Janes is the largest indoor market in the Southern Highlands. There is plenty of furniture, clothing, homewares, and technology in-store; anything you can think of, Dirty Janes has it covered. With over 85 dealers bringing in new stock daily, any visit to Dirty Janes you can expect fresh stock to check out!

The Potting Shed

Located within the shopping and dining leafy boulevard that is Green Lane, The Potting Shed is Bowral’s answer to The Grounds of Alexandria. Open every day for shopper’s garden tools and ornaments, fire pits, seedlings, gifts, and quirky garden features! Make sure to drop into the quirky garden and homewares shop when you’re in town.

The Orangery

Also housed within the Green Lane precinct; The Orangery is home to indoor plants, pots, cold climate perennials, topiary, water features, and garden furniture. Home to stunning Italian linen clothing and jewellery as well as a range of giftware.

Few & Far

What we were told is Bowral’s best homewares store, Few & Far is filled to the brim with beautiful pieces for the home. The deep store is curated from the owners’ travelling experiences in mind.

“We wanted to create a beautiful place where we and others could come and get lost in time, to enjoy a one-of-a-kind and compelling shopping experience, to be enticed by the aroma, listen to soft music from places in our memory and admire furniture and décor from faraway made by creative minds, artists and craftsmen.”

Located on the main street of Bowral, Few & Far is hard to miss so make sure to drop into the homewares space and take some treasured pieces back home with you.

The South Store

Between Bespoke Letterpress and Green Lane, The South Store is wedged in between one of the prettier areas of Bowral. The space is decked out with high-end clothing pieces from some of Australia’s best designers and pieces from across the globe.

Berkelouw Book Barn

Located within the stunning Bendooley Estate in Berrima, the Berkelouw Book Barn is a must-do for any book-loving individual out there.

Walk inside to experience the exposed timber beams and cathedral-like ceilings featuring huge rustic iron pendant lights. With rows upon rows of shelving housing tens of thousands of new, second-hand, rare, and antiquarian books.

Purchase a good book, pull up a seat by the enormous stone fireplace, order a glass of wine from Bendooley Estate, and lose yourself in the pages of your new find.
