The White Place

Hillside Harvest 

Hillside Harvest is a 75-acre property that produces many varieties of cherries, apples, pears, stone fruit and berries. The orchard was established in the 80’s with the Jones’ family purchasing the property in 2014. Refurbing the tired fruit packing shed to become what is now a popular destination for fresh fruit, vegetables and locally sourced products for tourists and locals alike.

Produce Picking 

Huntley Berry Farm

Situated in the basalt plans of Mount Canobolas, you can arm yourself with a bucket and start picking your very own berry produce. Set in picturesque farmland, Huntley Berry Farm has over eleven berry varieties and is a great spot for a day-long picnic.

Drop into the farm’s shop and pick up some fresh berry syrups or choose from the large selection of homemade jams, chutneys, vinegar and sauces.

Be guided through the Thornbrook Orchard and pick the freshest and ripest fruit. The team are available to provide a demonstration on how to select and pick the fruit, as well as answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve finished picking, your goodies are weighed and packaged ready to be taken home.

Spots To Explore

Pinnacle Reserve & Lookout 

The view atop the lookout at sunrise or sunset is well worth the hike to the peak. Set amongst the tall shady gum trees, the reserve is also home to picnic shelters if you’re keen to make a day of it.

Lake Canobolas Reserve 

Right near the foot of Mount Canobolas lies the beautiful and tranquil Lake Canobolas Reserve. Take the kids to check out the Apex Adventure Playground on the eastern bank or grab lunch from the Lakehouse kiosk.
