Where: The Box on The Water, Ettalong Beach
The architecturally designed glass edifice sits on the newly redeveloped foreshore in Ettalong Beach with panoramic views across Broken Bay to its namesake Box Head and Sydney’s northern beaches.
Founders Monique Keogh and Natasha Nicholson, desired a sense of casual sophistication to permeate this series of monthly comestible adventures to their diverse client base.
What better way to create excitement than to open the kitchen to a select number of Australia’s most prolific culinary artists to compose menus of contemporary cuisine that are at once innovative and delicious.
Their decision to choose seasoned chefs was mindful. The kitchen brigade at The BOX is eager for inspiration to further their knowledge of the dark arts of the burners.
“We cherry picked those they admired most with diverse skill sets. The food at BOX has no borders, enabling us to be inspired by the great global cuisines as well as the local produce from the Central Coast.”
Each chef will devise a sharing menu that characterises their style.
The series kicks off this October, with Sean Connolly, who now runs six restaurants in Australia, New Zealand and Dubai. Sean also designs premium cabin menus for the world’s largest airline, American Airlines.
