MEET

The iconic Brazilian BBQ venue is back open with some new additions

MEET Restaurant on King Street has officially risen from the ashes after their December fire and it’s back with a bang.

With a newfound focus or a return to its roots, if you will, MEET is ready to welcome back its patrons to a revamped dining experience featuring South American cuisine infused with local flavours.

Following the unfortunate temporary closure for repairs late last year, MEET harnessed the opportunity to re-evaluate its offerings and reflect on the business journey, bringing them back to their OG offering.

The restaurant has elevated its churrasco experience by sourcing locally and emphasizing superior cuts of meat on the BBQ, in the smoker, and carved tableside.

The churrasco is paired with beloved sides like cassava chips with chilli butter, tomato salad with whipped feta, and grilled halloumi.

While MEET has always been synonymous with meat, there’s a newfound emphasis on veggies, with two additional feasts catering to vegetarians and vegans. Moreover, seafood lovers can indulge in a seafood package add-on featuring Sydney Rock Oysters, grilled prawns, and torched Spanish mackerel.

“What we really want to get across is that MEET is for everyone.

“Whilst we’re thrilled to be offering 15 different cuts of the premium meats in our churrasco experience, we also know that isn’t always for everyone and as our name suggests, MEET, in essence, is a place to get together, enjoy amazing food, great wine and good company. And we’re proud to say, there really is something for everyone to enjoy,” Daniel Pires, Co-Owner of MEET said.

The wine list has also transformed, predominantly featuring South American wines, cocktails, and beers sourced from Argentina, Chile, and Brazil.

Interior-wise, MEET is now home to a few new delightful features including their wine wall, a dry-aging chamber, and a new dining corner; all adding to the allure of dining at MEET.

With repairs to the kitchen and filtration system completed, MEET is not only back to its former glory, but also feels fresh and revitalized, ready to embark on an exciting year ahead.

Speaking of exciting, we can share that the original Piano Bar space is set to be completely renovated later this year with the arrival of a completely separate bar offering – what will it be? That we can’t share – but it’s going to be epic.
