You can now browse and shop all fav bottleshop brands from The Prince online
The Prince of Merewether is gearing up for a busy silly season with the launch of their bottle shop website. Spending their lockdown time productively, the team has moved their massive range of bottle shop products all online for your delivery or click and collect convenience.
Offering one of the most extensive ranges of craft beer, and hard-to-find products in Newcastle, the Prince Bottleshop team take their product decisions seriously. Speaking with Bottleshop Manager Daniel Williams he explains each product undergoes a tasting and a rigorous set of decision-making before anything is selected for the shelf, as Dan explains,
“Everything is handpicked, everything in here is researched, and taste-tested. It’s a very long-winded way of doing it, but it's the only way we can guarantee the quality, and also be able to sell the products.”
Let's quickly mention the team, when Dan talks about the quality he's not just referring to the stock. The Bottleshop team is an exceptional one consisting of winemaker Nathan Lange, and Stephanie Chiasson, a Sommelier and more recently a fully Certified Cicerone, ensuring the beer selections and pairings within the restaurant are spot on.
Whether you drop in or shop online what you'll find are over 800 different varieties of craft beer. Each month the team sources around 350 new products, ensuring the range is not only constantly rotating but includes limited edition items that are tough to find anywhere else. Collaborating with breweries, the team also manage to snag limited-run items to showcase in-store and of course now online.
In addition to the craft, the bottleshop also features the largest range of natural wines in Newcastle. One of the fast-growing segments in the wine world, and for good reason, the uniqueness of natural wine derives from its small production and sustainably produced methods, two values the owners of the Prince hold in high regard, as Ty explains,
“When you go out for a meal, you don't want to go out for the same thing every time, you want to try something new. So when people come into the Bottleshop or now browse online, they have the opportunity to discover products they potentially have never heard of, and we get to raise awareness of these small-batch producers.”
The Prince Bottleshop also has an extraordinary range of limited release spirits, including their high-end range of small-batch whiskey products, and for the gin lovers, you are spoilt for choice.
Not looking to leave anyone out, the bottle shop also offers over 100 different non-alcoholic products for those looking to be a part of the fun. Valuing wellness, as well as variety, the team wanted to make sure there is an option for absolutely everyone with the non-alcoholic range including wine, cocktails, beer, even ciders.
You can of course still pick up all your essential Pantry items. The original cheeses and charcuterie shop, The Prince has always been known as the place to pick up all your party items, whilst it may have downsized a little, the quality hasn't faltered with a sweet selection of locally sourced brands together with some classic French favs.
The team has developed the website with accessibility in mind, including images of every product and information about their producers so as to help you up your craft, wine or spirit knowledge.
Collaborating with Ship It, products can be delivered Australia-wide for anyone looking for something unique, or out of the ordinary. Whether it’s to enjoy yourself, or for a present under the Christmas tree, this holiday season The Prince of Merewether Bottle Shop has an option for everyone.
