MacLeans Bookshop

The Newcastle-born and bred independent bookstore has been warming our book-loving hearts since its inception in the late 90s. Owned and operated by Newcastle locals Amanda and Max Shirley, MacLeans Bookshop has continued to grow and bring us all the gems from across backlist, unusual, bestsellers, as well an extensive children’s and young adult section.

Retro Wardrobe

Located on the southern end of Beaumont St is the much-loved secondhand store, The Retro Wardrobe. Oozing with character, the store is always home to an eclectic mix of items including clothing for women and men, accessories, handbags, jewellery, hats, vintage suitcases, linen, home décor, furniture and so much more. Each piece is carefully selected by the ever so lovely Bec, and one special staff member, Morris the dog, makes a visit all that more worth it!

Vera Wine
