Meet the new Australian linen womenswear brand that is taking the guess work out of getting dressed – in style.
Newcastle-based fashion and homewares store, House of Lita has made waves in the local retail world, and with their recent launch of LITA; an Australian linen womenswear brand, it looks like owners Lauren Steel and Brigita Millard have no plans on slowing down.
Born from a desire to create a collection of linen womenswear that is thoughtful in design, purpose and process, LITA, is the conscious capsule collection of womenswear created by Lauren and Brigita of House of Lita.
Available in five styles, and three colourways, LITA is 100% linen and has been created to take the guesswork out of getting dressed. Shoppers can pick from The Slip, The Robe, The Top, The Short or The Pant and choose from one of three colours; white, natural or blush.
The Slip is comes in two sizes, small-medium and medium-large, and is a relaxed-style slip dress complete with a tie strap adjustment. The Robe, my personal favourite is complete with wide sleeves and a matching detachable waist tie. Designed to be worn open or tied at the waist, this piece is a one size fits all.
The Top is your classic round neck linen singlet top, and is matched perfectly with either The Short; relaxed style with deep front pockets, a drawstring waist and subtle ruching, or The Pant; wide-leg pants with deep front pocket, drawstring waist and subtle ruching.
The Newcastle born and based brand is the brainchild of Lauren Steel and Brigita Millard – the co-founders of fashion and lifestyle store, House of Lita. Together, Steel and Millard dreamed of creating a collection of classic linen essentials – that were equally stylish, comfortable and versatile – that made getting dressed each and every day effortless.
“We wanted to create a collection of linen staples to take the guesswork out of getting dressed every day… We wanted to fuse style, comfort, quality and versatility so that every design could be worn all day, every day no matter the occasion,” Lauren said.
