For those that have wandered into the Bull St-based space, a.Atelier there’s a good chance you’ve perused over the beautiful adornments created by local gal Amelia with Artefact.
The self-taught jeweller has consistently been bringing sentimental and unique pieces to the people of Newcastle and beyond since its inception in 2018. With Amelia bringing on good friend and self-proclaimed jack of all trades, Tahlia to help with the demand in 2019, and now with plans to expand once more in 2021.
The bespoke jewellery brand has just launched its newest product, Ode Welded Chains; inspired by a trip to New York and the idea of permanent adornments.
The beautiful chain adornment is linked to your wrist to wear permanently. Available in Solid 9ct Gold or Sterling Silver, the Ode Welded Chains are offered for the foreseeable future in-store at maker store & studio with plans to do pop-ups in Sydney, Melbourne, and even Byron.
“It’s your constant base, to layer your other jewellery pieces beside. A personal ode holding close memories, people, loves, and affirmations, things that are with us permanently.”

A perfect sentimental Christmas gift, the Ode Welded Chains have launched just-in-time for your Chrissy shopping with appointments made directly through the Artefact website here.
Artefact stocks a range of jewellery pieces including earrings, studs, necklaces, and rings; all created under the Artefact philosophy.
“A collection of everyday adornments that hold sentimental meaning – to create these pieces for you to wear, to love, and to pass down. I wanted to reconnect people to the maker.
“To open up a conversation, to learn about the person that made their product, the how and why of the making process and to ultimately find more connection and meaning to a purchase.”
