Allan is the store's third owner, running it now for the past two years, “I’ve had businesses in different industries, but other than having a passion
for healthy food I just like a challenge”.
Natural Tucker is predominately an organic supermarket that provides wholesome and organic food in its café.
As the first organic and alternative food store in Newcastle, many others have followed suit, especially in recent years, to which Allan responds, “Imitation
is the greatest form of flattery”.
The store’s range of products is extensive, from their own peanut butter to laundry liquid, tahini, vitamins, oils, flours, teas, herbs, spices, and so
You can buy in bulk by bringing in your own container or use ones they provide. They also use local Newcastle suppliers where possible, “anyone who is
a local supplier I will always go with them first, give them the opportunity which I believe is really important for a local business, the community
ties and that relationship”.
Their organic coffee is Impulse Coffee which is locally roasted at Sandgate, and their fresh juices are now created using a cold pressed juicer, where
the cold-pressed juice itself is much more beneficial to your health than a juicer with a blade.
Popular items on their menu include the Lebanese and Malaysian wraps for lunch, and better yet all of their menu comes with vegan and gluten free options.
Natural Tucker’s latest venture will see them embarking in the digital world with an online shop set to begin soon.
