It may only be small, but it will be the first thing you notice as you drive along Orchardtown Road, New Lambton. With parking directly out the front and a few in-house baked goods it’s the perfect place to call in for your morning coffee.
Stewart Horton from Horton & Co Designs is the mastermind behind its pared back interior and the pop of green that gives it a relaxed vibe.
A customer himself, Stewart explains that Corner Lane is his local coffee shop while he is at work and Little Lane Espresso has become his local when he is at home.
Sarah and Graham, Little Lane owners, tell us they “actually live between the two shops” so it became the ideal spot for them to open up their next venture.
As a strong supporter for the New Lambton Village and its lifestyle, Sarah explains you are able to get everything you need within the village, people love walking down to get their coffee and supporting the local community.
One of the coffee shops more unique features is their “famous wall”, “it all started with one guy coming in and saying ‘I never have any money on me can I just pre-pay 10 coffees’? So they just chalked him up on the wall, and then someone else came in and asked ‘how do I get up on the wall’ and then it just grew".
With your 11th coffee free, the wall has become their equivalent to a loyalty card, but it's even better because you don’t have to worry about forgetting it…or your wallet for that matter!
