Life & Style

Food, drink, stationery, clothing – you name it, East End is going to have it!

It’s no secret that the East End Newcastle development has been slowly but surely coming to life, and with the recent launch of Stage 1 we thought we’d take a look at what foodie and retail spaces we're going to be exploring in no time!

If you’ve wandered around Lyrique Lane in the East End Village, you’ve no doubt seen a few vacant spots with ‘coming soon’ or ‘watch this space’ signs fillings the windows. Well, to get you all a little excited about what’s going to be gracing the newest area of Newcastle, we’re going to share it all with you!

What can you expect? An awesome collective of local independent businesses…

Honest Paper

Up first is none other than the go-to stationery gurus of Newcastle, Bella & Gabi of Honest Paper. After building their brand up in The Junction over the past five years, the duo have headed into the city and are bringing their brand-new interactive stationery space to life. Opening on the 8th of May, Honest Paper is ready and welcomes you to drop in for all your stationery needs, complete with Australia’s first dedicated wax-seal bar.

Mr. Sister

All of us coffee-loving folk were rather devastated when Mr. Sister packed up shop from Westfield Kotara, but we can all rejoice once more knowing they’re bringing their usual coffee goods back but in a brand new space! On the other side of the Honest Paper store, and directly opposite the Woolworths Metro, Mr. Sister is right amongst the centre of the East End Village.

Again, we’re not 100% certain on their opening date, we know they’ll be gracing us sometime in June – so watch this space!
