Bringing parents and bubs together through play, learning and educational talks
Westfield Kotara’s Parents Connect series aims to bring parents and their little ones together through sensory play and learning, and educational talks from local experts.
Each of the events will be hosted in The Little Spot on Level 2 opposite JB Hi-Fi. These popular little events have limited numbers, so be sure not to miss out and book your ticket here.
From music and sensory to guest speaker events about all things health, here's the full list of events coming in August.
Hive Creative Studios: Music & Sensory Sessions
What: The Hive's baby (0-13mo) and toddler sessions (1-2 years) focus on sensory play along with educating parents on how to incorporate age-appropriate sensory activities at home.
Cost: $10 per child
Number of spaces: 10 babies or toddlers per session with one parent or caregiver per child.
Guest Speaker: Sick Happens - Penny Blunden
What: Penny will be presenting two sessions covering two different topics: Common Winter Illnesses (sold out) and Gastro and Common Rashes. Each session includes what symptoms to look out for, what's normal or not and practical tips to take care of your little one.
Cost: $15 per adult - each guest will receive a Medicine Tracker Magnet.
Number of spaces: 10 adults per session, parents or caregivers attending are welcome to bring their baby or toddler along.
Guest speaker: Scott Dibben Chemist, Child & Family Health Nurse - Linda
What: Linda will be presenting two sessions covering two different topics: Introducing Solids and Teething.
Cost: $15 per adult - each guest will receive a gift from Scott Dibben Chemist.
Number of spaces: 10 adults per session, parents or caregivers attending are welcome to bring their baby or toddler along.
Harry Hartog Story Time
What: Discover new stories at Harry Hartog's free kid's story time sessions. Your little ones will love exploring the wonderful world of storytelling.
Cost: Free
Number of spaces: 10 kids per session with one parent or caregiver per child.
Belmont Dance Centre: Dance classes
What: Join in the fun with the experienced Belmont Dance Centre team, at these interactive dance classes designed for your little ones. Mummy & Me (sold out), Tiny Tots and Prep Dance classes are available.
Cost: $5 per child
Number of spaces: 10 toddlers or children per session with one parent or caregiver per child.
