Lambton just got stronger - meet your new wellness hub, Sento Club
Newcastle’s wellness scene has quietly levelled up. Nestled into the old Post Office and newsagency on Elder Street, Sento Club has opened its doors in Lambton, offering a calm, community-led approach to movement, recovery and long-term wellbeing.
Inspired by Mediterranean living and the Italian philosophy of la dolce vita - the good life - Sento Club was created with longevity in mind.

Not living forever, but living well for as long as possible. Much of the inspiration came from Sardinia, one of the world’s Blue Zones, where strength, mobility, connection and daily habits play a central role in healthy ageing.
“You start to notice how your own body changes as you get older, you watch how your parents age, and you see through your grandparents just how much quality of life later on comes down to strength, mobility, reducing stress and good habits,” says founders Henry and Lily. “That’s what inspired us - not a fitness goal, but a lifestyle shift.”
Even the name reflects that ethos. Sento means “I feel” in Italian, and the club was designed as a place where people feel strong, confident, balanced and supported in their bodies.

From the moment you step inside, Sento Club feels welcoming rather than intimidating. Designed specifically with beginners in mind, the studio has become something of a home for locals new to reformer Pilates or returning to movement after a break.
“We didn’t want to build just another studio, we wanted to create a club: a place people belong to, where taking care of yourself feels normal, welcoming, and accessible,” Lily explains.

Classes are fully guided, low-impact and focused on building strength, mobility and control that carries into everyday life. Instructors offer modifications and hands-on support, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and confident. Newcomers can also begin with the Sento 3-Step Starter Program, designed to ease first-timers onto the reformer.

“We’re Newcastle’s home of beginners. Our Sento 3-Step Starter Program is designed to make sure you feel comfortable and confident before you even step onto the reformer.”
Beyond Pilates, Sento Club features a dedicated wellness room with a premium Clearlight infrared sauna, alongside showers and change rooms. Recovery and stress relief are treated as essential parts of wellbeing, not optional extras.

Lambton was a natural fit for the club. With its village energy and strong local connections, it reflects exactly what Sento Club stands for: belonging, balance and community care.
To celebrate the opening, Sento Club is hosting Open Week from February 2-8, inviting locals to try a free reformer Pilates class and experience the space firsthand. Classes will include extra support for first-timers, plus exclusive new-member offers available throughout the week.
“Open Week is a simple invitation. Come try a free reformer Pilates class and experience Sento Club properly,” says Henry. “The week will be a lot of fun, with extra support for first-timers and exclusive new member offers.”
