Newcastle & Lake Macquarie beaches, parks and playgrounds reopen

With the easing of some COVID-19 restrictions, parks, playgrounds, skateparks and beaches have reopened across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie have reopened and allow outdoor gatherings up to TEN people.

Blackbutt Reserve, Newcastle, and Merewether Ocean Baths, as well as Nobbys, Bar and Merewether Beaches are amongst our public spaces now open. Spaces now open also include all beaches, public baths, playgrounds, BBQs & shelters, fenced off-leash dog parks, skateparks, and exercise equipment.

So, if you’re in need of some fresh air, a small family picnic or a reason to get the kids out to burn some energy , you can officially get out and make the most of our public spaces – just remember to keep practicing social distancing and keep your 1.5m from other people.
