Explore Newcastle’s food and street art on foot
Newcastle’s thriving food and arts scene takes centre stage in a new experience from local operator Newy Tour Co.
The newly launched food and street art walking tour invites travellers and locals to experience Newcastle’s creative energy and melting pot of local flavours.
The small-group walking tour explores the Newcastle cultural epicentre, the Newcastle East precinct.
Tucked between a transforming CBD and historically listed buildings you'll find murals, sculptures, and lively street art that paints a picture of Newcastle's diverse art scene and transformative history.

Scattered throughout the tour you'll be treated to four local food offerings and a craft beer tasting for a delicious introduction to Newcastle's thriving food landscape, plus plenty of locals-only tips for where to find the best bites across the city.
The tour is approximately three hours, covering 2.5Kms of mostly flat walking with plenty of stops in between for nibbles and guided art gazing.

Scheduled tours run every Friday and Saturday from 2pm - 5pm, with private tours available upon request. The food and art exploration costs $139 pp or $129 for children aged 7-14. This tour is not suitable for kids below the age of seven.

The Newcastle based tour operator already boasts plenty of other tours including the Newcastle City tours, Hunter Valley Wine Tours, and Port Stephens coastal and wildlife experiences.
Whether you're visiting for the first time, or already call Newcastle home, the tour offers a fresh way to experience the must-visit foodie destination.
