Newcastle’s newest inner-city coworking hub
Located in the heart of Newcastle’s CBD on King Street sits Nest Coworking Space, an inviting and dynamic environment tailored to professionals and small businesses.
Whether you’re a freelancer looking for a desk or a growing team in need of private office space, the newest addition to our city’s coworking space, Nest, has designed an ecosystem where collaboration, innovation, and productivity thrive.

Part of the broader Eagle Financial Group, Nest Coworking Space was born out of a need for an appropriate working space for part-owner, Graham Gardner, when he arrived in Newcastle four years ago.

“We just found that there wasn’t anything really suited towards coworking for professional services,” Graham said.
This challenge gave the Eagle Financial Group the idea to create a coworking space specifically designed to support professionals at every stage of their business.

Nest’s location on King Street couldn’t be more perfect. Positioned within walking distance of some of Newcastle’s best-known establishments, including Arno Deli, Napoli Centrale, and The Lucky Hotel just a short stroll away.

With access to these local gems, tenants at Nest can easily enjoy a coffee break, lunch, or after-work drinks without having to wander too far.
“Working from these offices offers a particularly great lifestyle. You can walk down to the beach, then come back here, have a shower, and get back to work. We’ve also got all of these amazing food and drink options right at your fingertips.”

This integration of work and leisure makes Nest more than just an office – it’s a unique community of small businesses.
Opening officially in January 2023, Nest Coworking Space has steadily developed into a vibrant workspace where professionals from various sectors can work, connect, and collaborate. Eagle Financial’s Newcastle branch alongside a range of other businesses from insurance brokers to legal professionals, now calls Nest home.

“We’ve got graphic designers, legal, mortgage brokers, PR professionals, sustainability consultants, accounting, software groups, and more.”
The building itself, steeped in Newcastle’s history, provides an inspiring backdrop now complete with a modern and functional renovation. From what was once a church group space, drum studio, and even artist studio has now been transformed into a thriving professional hub.

Spanning two levels, Nest Coworking Space offers two open office areas perfect for freelancers, individual, or small team businesses, as well as private offices for slightly larger teams needing more privacy. The best part? Nest Coworking Space offers businesses the freedom to adapt their workspace as their needs evolve with no lock-in contract.
“It’s great because people can leave when the space doesn’t meet their business needs anymore.”

Nest also takes the hassle out of setting up an office. From NBN, printing services, and even power arrangements, everything is managed in-house so members can focus on their work. Plus, the building is accessible 24/7, giving professionals the flexibility they may need in their work hours.

“With this space, I envisioned being able to take away all of the headaches of people having a lease or having their own building.”
Every membership includes bookable private meeting rooms, breakout spaces, phone call zones, keyless entry, printing facilities, super fast internet, regular cleaning, and a stocked kitchen.

As Nest continues to grow, there are exciting updates on the horizon. Plans are in place to install a new lift and update the common areas over the Christmas period, enhancing both accessibility and aesthetics.

“The intention is for the whole buildings’ fit-out to be on the same level, and we’re pretty much 90% there.”
The first level will also feature a simple check-in system, streamlining visitor management and creating an efficient experience for businesses and their clients.

Not just a place to work, Nest Coworking Space offers a community environment where businesses can lean on one another for support and even referrals. With a growing network of professional services under one roof, it’s easy for members to share resources and build strong working relationships.

For those seeking a workspace that combines convenience, collaboration, community, and a cracking lifestyle, Nest Coworking Space may offer the perfect place for you to grow your business in Newcastle’s CBD.
