Discover the Newcastle based hormonal health & fertility journey experts
In the heart of Newcastle sits what could be one of Newcastle’s best-kept secrets and the answer for many women’s hormonal and fertility journeys; Georgia Hartmann’s Hormone Health Studio.
Located upstairs from Bagga’s Pharmacy on Hunter St and next door to one of Newcastle’s newest fitness offering, Fluidform Pilates, Hormone Health Studio is offering a space and service offering unlike any other in Newcastle.
With Coffs Harbour local and qualified naturopath, Georgia Hartmann at the helm, Hormone Health Studio has been helping countless women through their hormonal and fertility journeys since its inception in 2020, but since launching the new studio space in May this year, has elevated its in-person consultations.
Completing a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Naturopathy at Endeavour College in Sydney, it was the combination of her own fertility journey and her sister’s endometriosis diagnosis that pushed Georgia to explore the potential of launching Hormone Health Studio.
“My sister found that the only relief she truly received was by combining conventional and complementary medicine, and with my own diagnosis of premature ovarian failure, I realised there must be so many women going through similar journeys. There was a potential to bring a unique offering to local women.”
The women’s health naturopathic clinic focuses on a range of health concerns dealing with anything hormonal and fertility-related. From period problems, anxiety and depression, low energy, weight, and thyroid concerns to endometriosis, PCOS, menopause, pregnancy, and postpartum.
Georgia, alongside her three other naturopaths, T’Keyah Snell, Asha Richards, and Chloe Sheehan, and practice manager, Clare Stevenson, all of whom have an incredibly calming nature, will work with each individual client to tailor an approach that will optimise their health holistically.
“We offer one-on-one consultations both in-person and online. An initial consultation is for all new clients and this appointment is an opportunity for us to gain a deep understanding of our client’s health and health history. Over one hour we ask a million questions regarding their health concerns, reproductive health, gut health, thyroid function, mental health, skin, metabolic health, diet, sleep, and more.
“We also refer for comprehensive testing. Particularly if we see a woman or couple on their fertility journey, we want to understand their nutrient requirements, hormonal balance and endocrine function. We also do a lot of genetic testing in our clinic which gives us an insight into one’s predisposition to nutrient deficiencies, oestrogen metabolism, antioxidant requirements, histamine intolerance, as well as energy and mood problems. Ultimately, we are very evidence-based, and we want to know exactly what is going on as this helps us tailor a treatment plan that is completely individualised.”
From that initial consultation, Georgia or one of the other naturopaths will come up with an overarching plan. In two weeks’ time, you’ll receive a check-in call just to follow up and see how the recommended supplementation and dietary and lifestyle modifcations are going.
“A lot of the time, we’re completely flipping someone’s whole life, so we like to touch base two weeks later just to check-in. Then usually, it’s monthly appointments but it really just depends on what they need as an individual.”
Booking an appointment couldn’t be easier, with Georgia making sure the whole process is as simple, straightforward, and streamlined as possible. From landing on the website to getting a confirmation, it’s a simple three-click experience.
“People can visit our website and book an appointment either in person here at the studio or online via zoom; it’s a very easy process.”
In addition to the incredibly personalised experience, you can book an appointment with Hormone Health Studio knowing that the in-person appointment is going to be not only relaxed but is held within a beautifully designed and styled studio.
The design of the space flows naturally from its business surroundings with exposed brick walls, crisp white walls, a cosy natural palette, and soft, welcoming, and comfortable furnishings throughout.
“When designing the studio, I didn’t want it to feel clinical. Considering we see so many women and couples for fertility and mental health support, it was important to me that the space was soft, warm, and welcoming.”
From the herbal tea on arrival to the friendly and soft nature of the team, a visit to Hormone Health Studio will always leave you feeling calm, educated, and ultimately heard and seen.
Whether you’re wanting to start a naturopathy journey, looking to explore a different way to visit your health concerns, or are interested in starting your fertility journey with naturopathic support, an appointment with Hormone Health Studio may just be on the cards.
