Homegrown Markets

A monthly eco focused market at Speers Point Park, Newcastle

Picture it. It’s Sunday morning. You wake up, with coffee firmly on your mind and you’re ready to face the beautiful day of sunshine ahead.

You’re going to treat yourself to something wonderful today. Because you deserve it. You’re going to wander through green grass and feel breeze blowing in your hair and with a smile on your face you know you’re about to have a pretty great day.

Because it’s market day, my friends… Speers Point Homegrown Market day.

Leave the city vibes behind and spend your morning by the lake wandering through Speers Point Park. Each month the park comes alive and thriving with sweet tunes by local muso's and stalls by some of Newcastle’s finest makers and shakers all celebrating handmade and eco-focused art and homewares.

Forgot your keepcup? No worries! Homegrown is Newcastle and Lake Macquarie’s only eco-focused market, so why not grab a mug from their "mug library”, a seat on the rug, and indulge in some much-needed downtime. All stallholders are plastic-free and eco-friendly, so there’s no need to worry about excess packaging. Ain’t nobody got time for that. Remember to bring your bag!

But of course, we all know that the only reason you’ve rolled out of bed on a Sunday morning is for market snacks, amirite? No matter what your tastebuds are a’hankering for, Homegrown is here to make your culinary dreams come true, featuring great coffee, Schillykickk Thai Street Fusion, Hello Lemonade, Choux Patisserie, Coal & Steele and a whole bunch more.
