We’re officially moving into the festive season and with that comes a whole lot of socialising, planning, and creative Christmas-themed activities! One place, in particular, is helping you create a little something special to enjoy not only this Christmas but for many Christmases to come!

What’s that we’re referring to? The Christmas Wreath Workshops happening now at Sandgate’s Newcastle Food & Flower Markets!

With Jessica Eckford-Aguilera at the helm, the Newcastle Food & Flower Markets are back at it again with their creative workshops bringing you the chance to make your very own Christmas Wreath with the help of their floral team. The workshops are for everyone, and they are even doing private workshops for corporate businesses. 

“We love to create a community feel at the markets and our workshops have brought so many amazing people together. The last few years have put so many things into perspective. I love to teach and mentor people. I love making people feel welcome and I love to see everyone get creative. It’s always a lovely feeling when I finish a workshop knowing people have enjoyed the experience,” Jessica said.

The local food and flower markets are moving into their sixth year of offering this particular workshop, so there’s no doubt 2023 will see the unique creative workshop book out before we know it.

The workshop goes for an hour and a half and includes all materials, alongside creative guidance, and encouragement, as well as a whole lot of fun, laughter, and of course, Christmas cheer! There is even a glass of bubbles on arrival! 

“Everyone walks out with a beautiful creation they feel very proud of. Everyone loves Christmas. It’s a beautiful time of the year and we are all excited for a little break, I love to see the faces of everyone when they have finished. Lots of people bring their mums, sisters, and aunties. It ends up being a big family gathering!”

The workshops are officially up and running with dates and times available from November to December. For just $149 per person, you’ll get to create your very own unique Christmas wreath that will form part of your Christmas traditions for years and years to come.
