Meet you Harbourside
Every second Thursday of the month, the Harbour Lounge gets funky with some of Newcastle and Sydney’s finest musos.See our handpicked guides to Newcastle
One of Newcastle's most iconic venues, the Queens Wharf Hotel is the place to be this winter with our favourite Thursday night boogie bash!
Whilst it's chilly outside the bands moved on into the upstairs Skiff Bar, where there's loads of room to get down to the 8-piece resident band who perform
a unique arrangement of some classic funk, pop and RnB tunes.
Each month a bunch of local artists such as Jerome O'Connor, Komiti Levai and Marissa Saroca jump up and join in to create a music spectacle.
Each month it’s a different line-up of musos, coordinated by Jacob Neale – which makes for an eclectic mix of dance floor fillers.
There's also food and drink specials on the night, with $5 Murray's, $10 cocktails and $10 pot pies.
The QWH is one of Newcastle’s most loved venues, with 180 degree views taking in Nobbys Head, the Foreshore, Stockton and Carrington, matched with a delicious pub-style menu and a relaxed vibe. It’s pretty obvious why it continues to be one of Newcastle’s favourite harbourside venues.
