On the water at the Queens Wharf Hotel
Every second Thursday of the month, the Queens Wharf Hotel (QWH) gets funky with some of Newcastle and Sydney’s finest musos, in the Harbour Lounge.See our handpicked guides to Newcastle
You won’t be able to sit still as the 8-piece resident band perform unique arrangements of some classic funk, pop and RnB tunes. There’s also a bunch of local artists such as Jerome O'Connor, Komiti Levai, Kylie Jane and Marissa Saroca who jump up and join in to create a music spectacle.
Each month it’s a different line-up of musos, coordinated by Jacob Neale – which makes for an eclectic mix of dance floor fillers.
There's also food and drink specials on the night, with $10 cocktails and two Burgers & Chips for $15.
The QWH is one of Newcastle’s most iconic venues, with sweeping views taking in Nobbys Head, the Foreshore, Stockton and Carrington, matched with a delicious pub-style menu and a relaxed vibe. It’s pretty obvious why it continues to be one of Newcastle’s favourite harbourside venues.
