New event celebrates the East End’s culinary diversity

FORAGE is a celebration of the much-loved East End, which is known for its exceptional food. A range of dining experiences will be on offer, from building your own pancake masterpiece at Cirque, a lazy long Italian-inspired lunch at Vault 73, and a three-course Turkish banquet at Moor featuring a belly dancing performance.

Seven businesses are involved and there is also an Underground Epicurean food trail, which includes four courses and matching wines at different venues. Bocados chef Raul Cabrera described FORAGE as an ideal way to welcome people back to the city after the light rail construction period.

“Food brings people together and we’re lucky to have so many fantastic choices in the East End.”

Bocados will be offering a one-off, authentic range of tapas with matching wines for a special lunch. Other venues are offering later afternoon and dinner options.

FORAGE has been organised by Newcastle Now Business Improvement Association in collaboration with restaurateurs.

The executive manager of Newcastle Now, Richard Christian, said FORAGE is a celebration of the much-loved East End, which is known for its exceptional food.

“It’s also an opportunity for people to meet the hard-working men and women behind the kitchen counter,” said Christian. “Diners can move between venues or opt to linger with friends and enjoy a leisurely meal.”

Tickets for the various offerings range from $18 to $150 per person. To book visit Click Here
