So we love it when a café gets all grown up and turns into a restaurant, especially when they promise a menu that’s a complete contrast to their daytime formula.
Starting this weekend Mayfield’s much loved Equium Social will be opening its doors each Friday and Saturday night, and we are crazy excited about this news. Over the last 12 months the Equium team have slotted into the Mayfield scene seamlessly and now wish to bring a nighttime flavour to the ever-evolving suburb.

Incorporating feel-good food, local coffee roasts, a gallery showcasing local artists and a unique Larder Room, the sister restaurant of Talulah Bar, Equium Social, is the ‘space that inspires change’ within the creative sector in Mayfield with owner Jacques Deloraine explaining,
“Equium Social is a place for the people…as a Mayfield
local myself, there is nothing of the sort over here. Nothing offers the full package. Equium is the first space that has really taken a punt on the
people of Mayfield.”
By night the casual menu mood is switched out for what promises to feature locally sourced, wholesome food that you will want to eat everyday. Combined with the homely feel we've become accustomed to it's sure to become your new weekend go-to.
