Three Bears Kitchen

Fresh hearty food amongst eclectic interiors

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Goldilocks. One day she went for a walk in the forest and pretty soon, she stumbled upon a cafe. The doors were wide open, so she wandered right in....

On a table in the cafe, there were three bowls of porridge. Goldilocks was hungry, so she tasted the porridge from the first bowl.

It wasn't what she expected, it was red rice, quinoa, rhubarb, berries, fig and pistachio with almond milk.

After she'd eaten the Three Bears' porridge she finally took a breath and looked around, in her haste she had overlooked the eclectic interior of the Three Bears cafe, with its exposed copper pipes running here, there and everywhere, its farmhouse brown tiled walls and the bohemian ornate ceilings.

The rusty old boiler standing proudly amongst this eclectic interior, is rumoured to be generating the steam for the oversized kettle that will be hanging out the front in the coming months, you won't miss it as it lets off steam every 30 minutes.

Beyond the porridge, the menu is awash with market fresh options including salads, pastries (baked in house), breads, juices and sandwiches to either eat-in or grab n' go. A real stand out on the Breakfast menu is the Lambs Fry, with bacon, onion, sage and roast tomato, or alternatively the trendy Shakshuka, with baked eggs, spicy tomato and sausage. For lunch there are plenty of options from toasties, burgers and pies through to larger hot meals, and for dinner there ia a set seasonal menu.

Three Bears exudes a friendly atmosphere, it's relaxed, fun, visually stimulating and memorable. The food is fresh and hearty, the coffee is excellent thanks to beans from Peaberrys and the oversized front windows make for a perfect spot to catch the harbour breeze and enjoy the people watching. So go on Goldilocks, wander in and enjoy the porridge (or Lambs Fry!).
