A fresh new chapter for a much-loved Raymond Terrace local
After four decades under the care of the Wedmaier family, The Junction Inn Hotel in Raymond Terrace has entered an exciting new era.
What began as Debbie Wedmaier’s family legacy has steadily grown into a true family operation. Her father Danny was the owner of the pub previously, and today, Debbie and Andy, alongside their children Adam, Kate, and Drew, continue to shape this beloved Hunter venue.

Growing up in the pub, Adam developed a deep appreciation for hospitality, ultimately taking the reins on the hotel’s extensive redevelopment. With years of hands-on experience Adam has led the charge in creating a venue that reflects both its community roots and the ever changing expectations of modern pub-goers.
"After forty years with the Wedmaier family, The Junction Inn Hotel is stepping confidently into a new era while staying true to its community roots"
A four-year vision brought to life
The Junction Inn Hotel has long been known for its friendly atmosphere, and sweeping views across the Hunter River. But after years of planning, the family decided the time was right to give their iconic venue a major refresh.
Partnering with Club Projects, the team embarked on a full-scale renovation of the entire hotel. The vision? Blend the old with the new, preserving loved heritage touches while introducing a fresh, contemporary design that brings new energy to the heart of Raymond Terrace.

The result - a completely transformed space that the community has embraced in a big way.
The Junction Inn Hotel’s new buzzing rooftop area has quickly become a go-to destination for everything from casual catch-ups to large-scale events, and the team will be giving locals and visitors plenty of reasons to visit, bringing a big lineup of live music acts and the return of the much-loved car park parties.
A menu built for every appetite
Along with the revitalised venue comes a new menu, and food is firmly at the heart of the new Junction Inn experience.
One of the standout additions is the state-of-the-art wood-fired pizza oven installed on the rooftop, churning out 200+ pizzas each weekend. These new arrivals sit proudly alongside the pub favourites locals have always loved, think schnitzels, hearty burgers, and the signature stone grill steaks that have long been a Junction Inn hallmark.

Under the guidance of new Head Chef Cal, the kitchen team has elevated the menu to complement the hotel’s modernised look and feel.

What’s next for The Junction Inn Hotel?
With a focus on continually evolving to meet the needs of its loyal community, the Wedmaier family is already dreaming up their next move, a dedicated children’s play area to make the hotel even more family-friendly.
And in even bigger news, the family has recently purchased Hotel Tudor in Woodberry, with exciting plans already underway for the venue’s future.
