Redhead Bakehouse

Great coffee, freshly made sourdough, cakes & pies

This bakehouse may have called Redhead home for the last 9 years, but the recent renovations, name change & introduction of coffee has brought it up to a whole new level.

With 20 years of experience under his belt, Gareth first began his trade at Belmont Special Cakes and Pies before working at Jordan’s Bakery, and eventually opening up his own place with his wife in Redhead.

Gareth credits the strong community support for its success over the past 9 years, “a lot of our success, yes we have good products, but it’s customer service and the people in general”.

Everything is made on site including their freshly made plain, wholemeal and kalamata olive sourdough available every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Treat yourself to vanilla slice, caramel tarts, chocolate éclairs and a whole heap more. Plus, there are even some perfect options for the kids like cupcakes and cheese and bacon rolls.

Or why not drop by for the Mexican pie with sour cream and salsa for lunch?

Before the renovations Gareth admits, “I had no idea about coffee”. However, since introducing Glitch Coffee the team has been trained and was “basically supervised for like the first 200 coffees”.

This family-run business focuses on keeping prices low and affordable while producing delicious fresh products, amazing coffee and some great tunes on in the background.
