Nonna brings loud Italian nights & shared plates to Hamilton
From Thursday, May 14, Hamilton's The Exchange Hotel will welcome guests to its newly reimagined upstairs restaurant, now unveiled under the vibrant new identity of Nonna Bizzarro.
It’s bold Italian-American dining served loud and late – expect cheesy starters, indulgent carbohydrates and creamy, chocolate topped desserts, all paired with a vibrant atmosphere built for after-dinner drinks and packed dance-floors.

With DJs playing every day and a soundtrack that builds as the table does, Nonna Bizzarro is a venue that moves diners straight from dinner service into late-night discoteca energy.
What’s on the table
Start with antipasti
The menu begins the way any good Italian meal should – with plenty to share.
Starters range from Nonna’s old-school garlic bread wrapped in foil and slathered in garlic herb butter, to burrata with salsa verde and hot honey, beef carpaccio with truffle aioli, tuna crudo, calamari fritti and wild mushroom arancini.

Larger antipasti plates piled with cured meats, cheeses, pickles and house focaccia are designed for the centre of the table and best enjoyed with a round of drinks among friends.
Fresh pasta & hearty secondi
From there, the menu moves into hearty secondi and pasta, with every pasta dish available gluten free so no one has to miss out on the feast.
Eggplant parmigiana layers Nonna’s red sauce with mozzarella, béchamel and basil pesto, while the chicken parmigiana comes topped with mortadella, provolone and sun-dried tomato salsa.

Be sure to indulge in Nonna’s signature “Disco Pasta” – a rigatoni alla vodka loaded with nduja and topped with stracciatella for the ultimate late-night comfort dish.
There’s also a 10-layer lasagna made for sharing, a hefty rib eye steak tagliata, and the OG meatball sub packed with Nonna’s signature polpette.

Save room for dolci
Dessert keeps things classic and comforting with tiramisu, old-school soft serve topped with salted caramel and pistachio praline, or the “Boozed Up & Wide Awake” affogato featuring vanilla gelato, espresso and Frangelico.

Drinks, nightcaps & late-night energy
To drink, expect a playful, late-night energy with cocktails, wines and espresso-fuelled nightcaps designed to keep the evening going well beyond dinner.

Don't miss Nonna’s Bottomless
For those wanting the full experience, Nonna’s Bottomless pairs a curated set menu with two hours of drinks for $75pp – designed for long lunches, group dinners and nights that don’t end after dessert.
