Launching on Saturday 1st April as part of Newcastle Food Month, you’re invited to book a Plate Date (or two… or three), and take yourself on a food tour throughout Newcastle.

Plate Date is the ultimate excuse for food lovers and those who love to explore new flavours and cuisines with $25 getting you a meal and beverage!

Whether you're looking to mix up your breakfast flavours, scoping out a long lunch location or you're in need of an evening venue, Newcastle Food Month together with a long list of inner city restaurants, bars and cafes have pulled together a fantastic mix of great value Plate Date offerings.

This year more than 40 venues have jumped on board the Plate Date train, serving up unique, signature offerings, guaranteeing you’ll find the dish of your dreams!

Happening across the month of April, Plate Date deals mean you can try all of those incredible places on your bucket list around Newcastle for only $25!

Here's a few of the Plate Date offerings you can expect to find on the menu;

Bartholomew’s
In an exclusive collaboration with Good Folk Brewing, the plate date dish is house-made gnocchi with Good Folk Black braised short rib, a bone marrow crumb, and any house beer or wine.
Every Wednesday and Thursday in April

Bella Italia
Linguine Pasta (dried on bronze cut) and our marinara sauce made with fresh mussels, prawns, calamari, octopus, claims. Cooked with some white Italian wine, a crustaceans bisque and finished with our Napoletana sauce made from Italian pomodoro. Finished with fresh parsley and basil.
Monday to Sunday lunch and dinner.

Kinn Thai
Enjoy Kinn Thai’s Pad Thai meal deal featuring traditional Thai stir-fried thin rice noodle with chicken, egg, bean sprouts and crushed peanut and a Singha beer or soft drink for just $25.
Monday – Sunday, Lunch and Dinner.

Mary Ellen
A staple on the Mary Ellen menu year round, try the The Chicken Scallopini paired with a glass of Montrose Chardonnay – Mudgee, NSW.
Monday to Friday lunch – 11.30am – 2.30pm

Novotel Newcastle Beach
Enjoy the prawn spaghetti with garlic, chilli, olives and cherry tomatoes paired with a Sydney brewery beer, glass of house wine (red, white or bubbles), soft drink, juice or coffee.

QT Newcastle
Mouthfuls of sweet, tender fish wings, perfectly paired with a local white wine – just $25pp.
Available throughout the month of April on Thursday – Saturday from 12pm – 2:30pm.

Stag & Hunter Hotel
Dip your toasted sourdough into The Stag’s flavoursome mussels, braised in a chilli, garlic, tomato and white wine broth. Partnered perfectly with one of the Hunters finest, Thomas Semillon Sauvignon Blanc for just $25.

The Happy Wombat
Feast on a 200g Woodward grass fed sirloin served w/ native herb roasted hand cut potato wedges, seasonal greens, and a rosella flower and Tasmanian pepper berry jus and a glass of wine or beer.
