"AMATO" 5 course degustation dinner | SOLD OUT

Nagisa Japanese Restaurant and Newcastle Brewers, Styx Brewery have teamed up to create a limited edition, handcrafted bottle of Gin, called "Amato"!!!

To celebrate the release of Amato Nagisa and Styx will be hosting, over 2 nights, a 5-course degustation with matching Gin inspired Cocktails.

A little bit more about the Gin...

Earlier this year Nagisa and Styx Brewery revealed their exclusive Nagisa Gin, the small batch has been beautifully handcrafted using locally foraged Kumquats and Mandarins, blended with Sencha Tea, Sansho Pepper and of course Juniper. Throughout the process, Nagisa and Styx have also worked with local artist Ineke Higgins who has designed the stunning Geisha label.

Called the "Amato" the name was chosen via a competition whereby Nagisa asked the community to help name the Gin. The winning name, “Amato”, was shortened from Amaterasu which when translated into Japanese means “heavenly rock cave” and is a story derived from Japanese Mythology.
