Maltnhop Brewhaus

Beresfield has a brand new shiny brewhouse!

Maltnhop aims to transform an industrial building into a fully functioning brewhouse. What that means in brew terms, is 22,000 litres of heavenly craft beer.

With the new wave of microbreweries popping up on the scene, Maltnhop is the latest one to capture our attention. Maltnhop Brewhaus sits inside one of Beresfield's newly occupied estate building spaces. Run by an experienced brewer, Craig Upton, distiller Lucus Cattell and of course, Cameron McDonald the bartender, Maltnhop aims to transform an industrial building into a fully functioning brewhouse. What that means in brew terms, is 22,000 litres of heavenly craft beer.

“It’s a really versatile space, being in an industrial area, it lends itself to bulky movement of goods for both our suppliers and at the same time, distribution of product is made easier being central to the freeway".

“We’re a craft brewery, so it's important for us that we have the integrity to that, which is typically smaller batches of what you would get from a larger scale brewery”.

The brewhouse will be supplying six packs, cartons, and singles to local bottle shops, distributors and sports clubs as well as online craft beer retailers. So never fear, you will be able to get your own stash, and if you're lucky, you might be able to get your hands on one of Maltnhops kegs for your very own party.

Maltnhop delivers big on flavour and hoppiness. With local produce helping craft the beer into something special, my recommendation would be to try the Dark ale.

As for the brew house itself, Maltnhop is the kind of local that will easily get you and your work buddies out of the office for those knock off beers. With an impressive selection of 11 craft beers on tap, there is a beer for everyone.

“Primarily, we have ten core beers that will be packaged and on top of that, we will have a seasonal beer or reduce our standard range and will have multiple seasonal beers”.

Upstairs, the venue has a conference facility which can comfortably sit 10-12 people, which makes Maltnhop an ideal spot for offsite work meetings that is bound to impress the bosses. As for functions and birthdays, the brewhaus will happily supply the beer and pizza as you take in the Maltnhop vibe.

The venue will continue to grow organically as a local business, with future plans for events including beer tours and distillery nights catered by Lucus Cattell, who will soon to be opening the doors to a distillery next door in December.
