Evoking a spirit of friendship, glamour, and European elegance, Le Dîner en Blanc is coming to Newcastle.
A Parisian-style pop-up dinner characterised by its famous all-white dress code and surprise location is coming to Newcastle for the first time on Saturday 10th April, 2021.

Le Dîner en Blanc began in Paris in 1988 when François Pasquier, returning from a long stay abroad, had the idea to gather friends for a picnic. Today the very stylish event has grown into an international sensation celebrated in over 80 cities on six continents including Cities such as Paris, New York, London and Sydney.
Newcastle can now be included within the list with the perfect secret location having been found — but according to the Le Dîner en Blanc tradition, it won’t be revealed until the very last minute.
To participate in this first Newcastle event, guests must either be invited via the hosts’ network or participating partners or register on the waiting list via Le Dîner en Blanc Newcastle.

How Do I Get My Tickets?
There are three phases to the Le Dîner en Blanc ticketing process;
Phase 1: You would have received already an invitation from the Le Dîner en Blanc Hosts' today, advising that phase 1 invitation are opening on Thursday 4th March at 7am.
Phase 2: If you have been sponsored by a friend (from Phase 1) you can expect to receive an email invitation that prompts you to register from March 9th.
Phase 3: Entered your email into the Waitlist? Expect an email 24 hours prior to prompting you to register on March 16th. First in best dressed, tickets are limited at this phase.
The Food and Wine
On the evening a gourmet meal can be brought along by guests, or pre-purchased online from a selection tailored by one of Newcastle’s leading caterers – Sprout. A range of premium Champagne and Hunter Valley wines will also need to be pre-purchased online prior to the event (Le Dîner en Blanc is a non BYO event).
What To Wear
So as to uphold Le Dîner en Blanc tradition the biggest rule for the evening is for guests to dress stylishly and wear all white... that means head-to-toe in white. So ivory, off-white, beige, or a pop of color is off limits! You are however allowed to have a splash of silver or gold to sparkle things up.
What About Transport and Departure Points?
There will be four departure points around the city. When you book your tickets you will need to select which departure point you and your Le Dîner en Blanc +1 will be traveling from. You will also need to select your 'Table Leader' to ensure you and your friends are all sitting together.
On The Night
As a part of the event you will need to bring with you a square folding-table and two white chairs; a white picnic basket and/or bag including a gourmet meal for two, a white tablecloth and cloth-napkins, cutlery, dishware, and glassware; and a garbage bag.
What If It Rains?
Le Dîner en Blanc Newcastle goes ahead in the rain, so best to remember to bring a white or transparent raincoat, poncho and/or umbrella.
