Located at the quiet end of Darby Street is a little café, that has been decades in the making. Whilst brothers Duncan and Tim Hughes have been working hard to create the mighty fine Cold Brew Coffee and café space, it was their Grandfather John Hughes and his brother Bill who ignited the entrepreneurial spirit in them. 

John and Bill were possibly the region's first entrepreneurs developing the Charlestown area by establishing services and businesses in the area that hadn’t even been thought of at the time. Like ice trucks, picture theatres, petrol stations, taxis and property development, they did it all. Keen to keep the entrepreneurial spirit alive Duncan and Tim have resurrected the Hubro name with their Cold Brew Coffee and cute-as cafe on Darby Street. 

Every aspect of the Hubro café has been well thought out and every detail beautifully executed. From the crisp white and wooden interior, to the healthy dine in menu or the on-the-run counter snacks that feature many of our local favourites. 

Of course, the coffee is the show-stopper here it is totally top notch, using the beans from the team at Silverskin Coffee Roasters. But really you can’t enter the Hubro doors without giving the Hu-brew a go. Served over ice it is the perfect coffee hit and our new go-to drink over Spring and Summer.
