There's more to it than barbequed meat, bibimbap and kimchi at Hanok Korean

Launching at the Rooftop Westfield Kotara in October 2021 Hanok opened with a bang and has continued to deliver, with diners keen to try their hand at the precise charcoal cooking experience.
Chatting with owner Cheng Deng, he took us through what to expect from HANOK,

Checking out our spread of food, Cheng is spot on when he says everything is literally delivered to the table, laid before us is a smorgasbord of sauces, salads, and that incredible Wagyu Tester. Ideal for 2 - 3 people the a-grade selection of Wagyu meats allows you to easily experience some of the best quality meats available. For larger groups, take the Hanok Platter option, which is better suited to 4 – 5 people, and the Couple Set which is obviously created just for two.
When you think of Korean food, the hot stone pot Bibim-Bap most likely comes to mind. One of the most popular Korean dishes the humble rice bowl is a display of seasoned sautéed vegetables, Korean marinated beef, and the signature fried egg, and the red, spicy Bibimbap Sauce, which once you’ve tried you’ll never forget.
Another menu must, if you can squeeze it in, is the Korean deep fried chicken. Whether you take the sweet & spicy, sweet & soy, shallot & mustard or the cheese and coconut option, you won’t be let down.
When it comes to the drink selections there are of course your usual suspects on the menu, however when you go Korean, you really need to go all the way. One of Korea's most popular drinks, Chum Churum really needs to accompany your meal. Also known as Korean vodka the clearly distilled rice liquor is smooth and super easy to drink.
