Cafe in industrial Wickham that offers heaps of tasty flavours
Hidden in your typical Wickham warehouse, Dark Horse Wickham is a real diamond in the rough. The café space has collaborated with House Of Lita to bring Wickham a unique retail and coffee offering. Whilst it may not ring a bell to some of you, the tradies and locals of Wickham have known about this place for years.
Whilst it’s become a bit of an institution in the area, Dark Horse Wickham has recently come into the hands of young local couple, Stacey and Levi.
“The café itself has been here for about years now, and it’s had two previous owners, and I knew what the feel was like. It has this great vibe and it’s really personal; that’s what we’re about,” Stacey told me.
For what this teeny-tiny cafe lacks in size, it makes up for with some big food and coffee flavours.
Renowned for their brilliant coffee with the help from local roasters, Dark Coffee, the 22 Greenway St location often has an eclectic crowd milling around the front waiting for their morning fix.
“Without them, we actually wouldn’t be where we are today. Adam still comes in for a coffee and a chat every morning and Trent still does the deliveries. We have catchups every so often and they help me with new ideas; they’re just awesome to work with.”
