Argenton Hotel

Casual pub-style dinning in the heart of Lake Macquarie

This renovation provides a more modern, casual venue that the local community can be proud of.

"The hotel has undergone many smaller scale renovations in the past, but we have decided to close the doors and completely redevelop the hotel mainly due to the sheer scale of works we are about to undertake " said Campbell Rogers, owner of the Argenton Hotel.

A large focus on the renovation is expanding into the neighbouring property which has laid dormant for years, with plans to turn the vacant space into a dedicated function space that caters for a variety of events, both large and small, as well an extension of the current car parking on site.

"From the outset we have always focused on providing good value, good quality pub style food for the whole family to enjoy" Clare Rogers added "we want to build on that reputation and be able to bring a whole new pub experience and facility to people in the area".

The venue will be closed for up to 6 months and hoping to reopen their doors in July / August, ready for a big finish to the year. "Our grand opening will showcase a brand-new menu, live music, but without losing the successful aspects of the venue, being friendly staff, and a safe family friendly atmosphere".

No strangers to renovating and rebranding hotels, the Rogers' purchased the Sydney Junction Hotel in late 2014 which they have transformed successfully into one of the premier hotels in the Newcastle region. Taking on the Gunyah Hotel, Belmont, in 2017 the young couple are focused on creating venues based of the way they like to live; "surrounded by friends enjoying a good meal, drink and a laugh, while the kids can are entertained" said Campbell.

The multi-million dollar renovations and expansions will bring a significant change and service to the area which is in the middle of population and business growth.
