Sit in or takeaway, for two and a half years Drift has been focused on keeping it simple, casual and relaxed in the beachy suburb of Merewether.
With Josh in the kitchen and Cat taking care of the front of house, this hospitality power couple are all about good coffee (Five Senses) and delicious
There is a substantial amount of Balinese and Asian influences throughout the menu including the Balinese poached chicken salad, Nasi goreng (fried rice)
and the Balinese fried chicken burger of a night.
But basically it is all about healthy, wholesome food during the day such as the green smoothie bowl, which Cat explains is essentially “a bowl of health”
(delicious health I might add), and tasty burgers and tacos during the night service!
Offering two separate menus for breaky and lunch, Sunday’s at Drift are the perfect lazy, hangover morning with breaky AND burgers from 7am until 1pm.
This kid friendly café also has plenty of Gluten Free and Gluten Free variations on the menu, including Gluten Free burger buns. Cat herself is coeliac
so understands the importance of cross contamination when it comes to allergies.
Open 7 days a week, everything is made in house with regular specials each week and freshly made cakes and slices on display.
You will also notice Mitch Revs
’ artwork throughout Drift, whose ocean-themed
art complements the Café’s chilled out coastline feel!
