Battlesticks At Scratchleys

The harbourside cocktail and tapas bar is back | 10 Nov

It's been over three years since we've been able to dine and drink inside Battlesticks at Scratchleys. Come Friday, 10th of November 2023, the venue will be reopening their doors and we're so excited to get back into this iconic Harbourside venue.

Hovering above Newcastle's busy working harbour, Battlesticks will have you getting right amongst all the harbour action and taking in some of the best views in the city. Part of the iconic Scratchley's restaurant, Battlesticks Bar is a smart addition and brings with it a crisp and contemporary drinking and dining space to Newcastle.

Taking full advantage of its 180-degree views, Battlesticks makes for the perfect pre- or post-dinner drinks location, or, order some share plates and settle in for the evening. Unsurprisingly, the menu has a distinct seafood flavour, but not exclusively, with a good variety of dishes.

With its high ceilings, louvred windows and breezy interior, the unique architecture of Battlesticks Bar creates an almost seamless merge between floor and harbour water, so much so that you may need to take your sea legs with you.

There's no wrong or right occasion for a visit to Battlesticks Bar, whether it's after-five work drinks, an easy Sunday session or a romantic date night, it makes for the ideal harbourside venue.
