Hannah’s journey to creating Shuck Yeah was driven by two main factors; her love for event planning and a recognition of a gap in the market. For Hannah, event planning has always been a creative outlet, and she saw an opportunity to combine this passion with her experience in the oyster world.

While Dawson’s Oysters has been catering events for years, the hard launch of Shuck Yeah is set to coincide with its website launch at the end of June, a moment that promises to be the beginning of an exciting journey for Hannah and her team.

“I’ve always wanted to open an oyster bar. Swan Oyster Bar in San Francisco is one of my all-time favourite venues, and I’d love to replicate that here in Newcastle one day.”
