Sit back with a Semillon and listen to a stellar all-female lineup of musicians
An exciting new event arrived in the Hunter Valley this spring, combining wine and music for a memorable day out in the vineyards.
Songbirds and Semillon brought an all-female lineup of outstanding local musicians with premium Hunter Valley wines to Emma’s Cottage.
Max Jackson, Anna Weatherup, Piper Butcher, Amy Vee and Chloe Gill took to the stage and serenaded concert-goers with their original tunes.
Guests sampled the event’s feature wine – Alter Wines’ Semillon. An iconic Hunter Valley varietal, Semillon has been given a youthful spin by Bimbadgen winemaker Richard Done for Alter Wines, dubbed Bimbadgen’s alter ego.
Alter Wines was launched in December 2022 after more than 12 months of planning, and represents a new offering to pair with the recently refurbished cellar door at Emma’s Cottage.
Emma’s Cottage has hosted the Lovedale Long Lunch since it began nearly 30 years ago, and with the team from Bimbadgen now onboard, Songbirds & Semillon boasted the same level of service and quality you’ve come to expect from these two iconic brands.
