And in case you’re wondering, gaining organic certification is no easy feat. There’s a three-year conversion period for the vineyard to undergo and once certification is received, rigorous annual audits of the wine to ensure the absence of pesticides, herbicides and other synthetic fertilisers.A process the people of Tamburlaine believe is worth the effort, as evidenced by their passion and the many awards their wines have won over the years.
With traditional, regional wines and quite a lot of alternate varieties available for tasting, it’s unlikely you’ll walk away from Tamburlaine without finding an organic wine you love from one of their three ranges. And, whether you’re after a relaxed casual tasting at the bar which is free of charge or a host-led guided tasting, complete with a selection of organic wines and nibbles for $20 per person, there’s plenty of ways to keep your taste buds happy while you’re visiting.
You can even take a ‘Behind the Scenes’ glimpse of Tamburlaine’s organic vineyard and winery operations which includes a structured wine and cheese tasting for $35 per person. Keeping with their vegan philosophy, vegan cheeses are also available to order for an extra $5 per person to accompany your vegan wine experience. Makes perfect sense to us!
