The Whistler

Coffee, beers and a big menu on High St

The Whistler (no ski resort story here, owners Phil and John just thought it sounded good) is offering Maitland-ites the chance to get a taste of some quality craft beers, coffee and a big menu that’s all about sharing and having a good night out.

The guys have done an awesome job to refresh what was a pretty run down and massive space. Managing to not over style or under play the now restaurant/bar and cafe venue it's a nice combination of comfy and inviting. The choice of low and high seating suits all drinking, eating and socialising styles so whether you’re up for a quick brekky bite from the front window or an afternoon session there’s a space you’ll fit nicely into.

There’s much to love about the menu and lists all the things you love, like the trusty old Chilli Chicken Wings, Porcini Mushroom Arancini, Salt and Pepper Squid and Burgers galore. Then there are those pizzas. Coming in the Standard 12” or the Massive 15” these beauties are not just big in size but big on flavour.

There’s even a function room out the back that can cater to whatever celebration you have in mind. Obviously called ‘The Back Room’, the space can suitably cater for an intimate group of 10 or a big old bash of 100.

Whilst there is a hint of The Blind Monk vibe Phil and John have managed to give The Whistler its very own personality and something unique to the High St scene.
