Mount View

A sweet little pocket housing boutique wineries, a chef's hatted restaurant and some of the best views in the Valley

Situated just next to the Parish of Pokolbin, Mount View offers stunning panoramic views, arguably the best in the Hunter.  Stretching the length of Mount View Road which divides the beautiful landscape, is a patchwork of gorgeous terraced vineyards and rural farmlands winding all the way up the mountain to the Mount Bright and Bimbadeen lookouts.

Once described by renowned wine critic James Halliday as a separate region to the Hunter Valley proper due to its unique terroir, Mount View is home to five wineries, close enough to visit in one tasting session, including our favourite, Briar Ridge Vineyard where you can relax in the tranquil wine garden or on the deck with a glass of wine and a delicious cheese platter.

Mount View also boasts a number of guest cottage and villa accommodation venues, rustic farmhouse stays and renowned chef’s hatted restaurant Bistro Molines. Located within the Carillion Wines estate at Tallavera Grove, Bistro Molines with its exquisite fare, rustic French charm and stunning vineyard outlook is just one of those food experiences you must have when you come to the Hunter.

Add in lovely nature trails and its easy to see how this quiet little corner of the valley has become one of the Hunters best kept secrets.
