If you’re looking for a fun night out in the Hunter Valley, look no further than Dullboy’s Social Co.

The guys behind the iconic Warners Bay venue have brought their signature retro-meets-contemporary vibe to Rutherford, in a space that was formerly Superstrike, also owned by the same team, and have been welcomed with open arms, celebrating their first birthday on April 2.

While the Rutherford iteration of Dullboy’s still has many of the same offerings that we all fell in love with at their Warners Bay location, brothers Brett, Brad, Bryce and Heath George have brought in some unique twists.

Over two years of planning and a whole year of renovations went into the making of the Rutherford site, and the brothers felt the area was an obvious choice for the next place to bring the beloved Dullboy’s experience. 

“No matter what the occasion, everyone can have a good time here. A place where people can leave their work and worries at the door and enjoy good times with family and friends – we think that is pretty special to provide,” the brothers said.

Whether you go for weekday or weekend fun, you can find bowling, mini golf, a large arcade games area, virtual reality and Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar, where Aussie-American dining meets late night cocktails. 

Unlike Warners Bay, Dullboy’s Rutherford has mini golf inside, with half of the course arcade themed – think Mario Kart, Tetris, Pacman and Pinball courses. For the second half of your mini-golf experience, be prepared to be transported into the Wild American West with 5 metre high spray-painted walls bringing those desert vibes.

And, instead of dodgem cars, visitors will be treated to an Infinity Space Virtual Reality Arena, where you can team up with your friends for battles in different simulated arenas. Time to round up your mates and battle it out! 

Also a point of difference to the Warners Bay location is Charlie’s Restaurant and Bar. 

“The restaurant has a modern diner-inspired vibe with booth seating while the bar has its own unique feel… Stepping into Charlie's Bar you will be greeted with a speak-easy style atmosphere, with a signature cocktail collection and on-tap craft beer,” the brothers said. 

When it comes to the food menu, American classics are infused with a modern Australian twist. Try crowd pleasers like the Loaded Fries with mozzarella and bacon bits, the Buffalo spiced schnitzel and Southern Chicken Burger.

Charlie’s Restaurant is open seven days for lunch and dinner. Kickstart your weekend with unlimited bowling and a house beer, wine or soft drink for $27 per person on a Friday night.

When it comes to the classics we know and love at Dullboy’s, people can expect 16 lanes of ten-pin bowling – perfect for the whole family. You can also try your hand at one of the many arcade games, like F1 car simulators, air hockey, Ice Ball, and more!
