The Hunter Valley's gastro pub has something for everyone
Sitting at the entrance to Hunter Valley Wine Country, Huntlee Tavern makes for a welcome stop whether you’ve made the short drive from Newcastle or you’re arriving from further afield.

Opening the doors in 2020 Venue Manager Mat Sargent said that whilst the timing wasn’t ideal, the last few years have allowed the team to get acquainted with the locals and establish Huntlee Tavern as a quality pub offering in the Hunter Valley.
As you wander through the Tavern there is a welcoming warm vibe brought about by the mix of soft furnishings and recycled interior products which have been worked into the design.
From the recycled brickwork work, timber lined bar and steel light fixtures, much of which has been locally sourced, the expansive interior layout not only feels comfortable but smartly divides the Tavern in the most subtle of ways, allowing social occasions of all kinds to mix seamlessly.

If it’s a dining experience you’re looking for, take a seat in the ultra comfy restaurant space for either breakfast, lunch or dinner. For those looking to get social over a bevvy or two make your way to the bar area, sports lounge or head out onto the Tavern’s balcony area.
The extensive drinks menu caters to all with a fine selection of craft beer, and heavily influenced Hunter Valley wine list. Cocktails are also a feature with the options taking in some new and old favourites.
Huntlee Tavern has also become known for its live entertainment with DJ’s on decks every Friday night and live music on Saturday evenings and Sunday at lunch.
When it comes to the menu it’s all your pub favourites, plus a little extra something. Their signature dish, the Huntlee Sticky BBQ Pork Ribs is nothing short of impressive, but be warned it’s not for the faint hearted with the 1kg tender ribs cooked to absolute perfection.

If your appetite doesn’t extend quite that far there are plenty of other options to consider. Whether it be something from the ocean or paddock, burgers, pizza, salads or pasta the menu covers all your hearty classics and won't leave anyone disappointed.
If you have little ones coming along the indoor playground and movie theatre will make you smile and is ideal for parents looking to keep them entertained whilst being able to enjoy some quiet time and conversation, for a little while at least.
Only a 45 minute drive from Newcastle and 20 minutes from the heart of Wine Country, Huntlee Tavern makes for an ideal breakfast, lunch or dinner escape.
