The Hunter Valley grocers and providores offering fresh produce and pantry items
So, you're probably seeing a lot of face masks while doing your grocery shopping these days. If you'd prefer to steer clear from the crowds, why not consider ordering a produce hamper from a local grocer or providore.
Here's some of our favourites that are still offering delivery or pick-ups.
The Store Pokolbin
Located at the Hunter Valley Gardens Shopping Village, The Store Pokolbin offers an array of goodies that can picked-up at a time convenient. Simply call up Jo or Caitlin and tell them what you need. They'll happily pack up a hamper full of fresh fruit, veggies and produce to get you through the week.
This gourmet grocer also stocks coffee from Sprocket Roasters, a range of breads from Baked Uprising, fresh cheese, milk and meat from around the Valley and Paxton honey. Pre-packed salads and meals are also available and are definitely worth a try.
If you feel like some fresh Seafood, The Store Pokolbin offers a weekly Seafood order service direct from the Sydney Seafood Markets that can be picked up on Fridays.

Wollombi Road Providore
Oh how we love the Wollombi Road Providore. These guys are still doing their produce boxes and what's better, they can be ordered online.
There’s a range of Fruit and Veggie options to choose from too, starting at $30. They also offer an assortment of cheese, breakfast and BBQ platters that are stocked with produce from local farmers and growers.
If you haven’t visited their shop on Wollombi Road before you’ll be pleased to find a whole range of pantry goodies in store as well as pre-packed dinner meals which again, they’ve been doing for some time.
Note, all orders must be placed by 10am daily, for pick up after 3pm the following day. Delivery is not available unless you live at The Vintage.

The Pickled Pig Butchery
Despite only opening their doors in April this year, the people of Cessnock and I suspect, far beyond, have wholeheartedly embraced The Pickled Pig Butchery. There's a lot of reasons for this. Store Owner and Butcher Jason, offers quality cuts of meat at a darn good price.
Another reason to give The Pickled Pig some love is that their new website is now up and running offering a 'Click & Collect' system.
Go online to order your favourite meaty delights or a delicious Pickled Pig Pack. Packs start from $30 and include the 'Breakfast of Champions' a 'Heat & Eat' option and 'Fridge Top-Up' and BBQ packs (naturally).

Organic Feast
Local and family owned Wholefood Market & Café, Organic Feast have been providing Hunter Valley folk with the best in organic fare for over 20 years. Their shop in East Maitland stocks an impressive range of certified organic produce and pantry items as well cleaning products and other bits and pieces for the home.
Like the Wollombi Providore, Organic Feast have been producing Fruit and Veggie boxes for some time too, but these guys also offer a home delivery service to select Hunter Valley, Port Stephens and Central Coast areas.
