A new home for one of the Hunter’s favourite restaurants
It’s time like these we all need a bit of good news, something to look forward to post pandemic! We at HUNTERhunter have just the thing. One of our favourite restaurants in the Valley, EXP. is moving to a new space in Pokolbin Village next month.
Opening its doors in 2015 at Oakvale Wines, EXP. Restaurant introduced us to a new way of dining that was experiential and one, quite frankly, we couldn’t get enough of. Since then, the team at EXP., led by owner/chef Frank Faulkner and wife Emma, have continued to challenge and surprise our palates with their delicious three, four and six course degustations.
Following EXP’s incredible success, the pair opened Fawk Foods Kitchen & Bakery at Pokolbin Village, offering fresh baked goods alongside a casual but equally delicious lunch and all-day breakfast menu.
Their latest move, joining the two popular venues at Pokolbin Village was a logical next step.
“The move will give Emma and I the freedom to run both venues hand in hand to feed off each other and align with our growing family.” Frank Faulkner
Kicking off at their new digs on April 3, the new look EXP. will open for dinner only, Friday to Monday from 3-9pm. While the restaurant won’t be offering a lunch service, we’re just a little excited that they’re bringing out a bar/snack menu from 3-5pm. Perfect for a quick bite post wine tasting! Frank continues.
“This way guests can dine for a late lunch or early dinner and we will be open for locals/industry on Sunday and Monday when most other venues are shut.”
Yes indeed. If you’re after something a little earlier, just pop next door to the Kitchen Bakery which will be open seven days for brekky and lunch.
EXP’s last service at Oakvale will be lunch on Sunday, March 22. Following a brief closure, the restaurant will re-open for dinner next door to Fawk Foods Kitchen & Bakery in Pokolbin Village on April 3.
Be sure to pop it in your diary.
