A hidden little gem in the heart of Morpeth makes for a perfect Hunter Valley escape
Morpeth is synonymous with beautiful old buildings, stunning terraces and gorgeous little cottages that have stood the test of time. So if you’re planning on making Morpeth a destination for a getaway why not stay in one of these little old timers and fully immerse yourself in the history of the town.
The Close is a perfect option for those who love the little cottage experience. A cottage that caters to up to 12 guests, with The Studio and The Cottage being able to be booked separately or together, it makes for an ideal romantic retreat or group getaway.
The Close is where owner Clint Marquet first lived when his family moved to Morpeth, and not surprisingly he hasn’t been able to part with it since. Whilst Clint has moved on, h e now wants visitors to the area to enjoy what he has been able to do so for so long.
The beautifully restored and furnished property combines a nice mix of modern touches with cottage like features. All of which make you feel right at home.
Whilst The Close is tucked away down one of Morpeth’s quiet little back streets it’s just a short stroll to the main street, allowing you to get out and enjoy more of the town's beautiful architecture and village atmosphere.
