Generous, sumptuous bathrooms feature marble bench tops, tiled walls and giant bathtubs, providing guests with the ultimate sanctuary. 

Massive, ornate, late 19th-century French coach-house doors give entry to the retreat’s central hub, an enclosed courtyard paved with limestone, circling a dramatic fountain pond. Cloistered walkways framed by timber beams disappear toward suites and a labyrinth of spaces to explore.

A satellite pool, sauna and gardens offer guests options to leisurely explore the Hunter’s countryside, which comes complete with kangaroos appearing at sunrise and sunset to welcome and farewell the day.

Set under soaring wood ceilings with fans languidly circling above, the restaurant and its adjoining lounge are the venue for breakfast and long lunches, sunset drinks and canapes followed by an a la carte dining menu that’s designed both for sharing and more formal dining.
