What are the hidden stories behind our clothes? | Jul 6 - Aug 11

Gosford Regional Gallery has just opened Dress Code: Behind the Seams, an exhibition showcasing the work of ten talented artists from The Makers Studio Central Coast.

This thought-provoking display will run from July 6 to August 11, offering a deep dive into the societal implications woven into our clothes.

Dress Code: Behind the Seams explores the hidden narratives embedded in clothing, addressing themes such as gender roles, cultural values, and environmental impact.

Through their artwork, Cheryl McCoy, Leah Bennetts, Therese Wilkins, Ruth Thompson, Glenice Ware, Janine Debenham, Carol Vesper, Lisa McArthur-Edwards, Emilia Krumm, and Fiona Brandes unravel the complex relationships between fashion and identity.

This exhibition challenges visitors to reflect on the unspoken messages conveyed through our choice of dress and the broader implications for society and the environment.
