1. Pick a beach, any beach!

There are 41 beaches stretched over 87km of coast on the Central Coast. So, pick your patch of sand and enjoy a salty stroll and let the kids run wild.

2. Idyllic waterways

Bring your water ‘vehicle’ of choice and take advantage of the region’s vast network of waterways. Paddleboard through Brisbane Water or a Kayak on one of the many beachside lagoons; Copacabana, Avoca or Terrigal.

3. Pet-friendly Walking Tracks

The Central Coast has an abundance of dog-friendly walking trails and off-leash areas. Like us, your pets are probably also over looking at the four walls or going on the same old daily walk around your neighbourhood. 4. Bouddi Coastal Walk

We’ve spoken about this beauty many a times, and we won’t stop because it is just so beautiful! Famously known for its beaches, boardwalk and birdlife, you might even be lucky enough to spot whales. Make a day of it and setup for a picnic or even a swim at Maitland Bay.

5. Maitland Bay Track

This wonderful walking track will lead you downhill towards Maitland Bay and the famous shipwreck. Although the walk is only 2km, it can be steep and there are a few steps requiring a moderate fitness level.

6. Somersby Falls Walking Track

Waterfall lovers listen in. This relatively quick, 100m walk winds you down to the base of the spectacular Somersby falls. There’s plenty of lookout points on the way down, but remember to watch your step; it’s steep!

7. Grab the family and head to the Australian Reptile Park

Reopening from the 1 June, get out of the house and spend the day wandering through the zoo and spotting all the animals.

8. Wyrrabalong National Park Coastal Walk

Considered as one of the Central Coast’s most beautiful walks, the track runs down a narrow strip between Forrester’s Beach and Bateau Bay. Stroll through wildflowers, past blackbutts and spotted gums and across majestic clifftops. Take in the magnificent coastal views and keep your eyes peeled for whales!

9. Palms Circuit Track

Located in the Munmorah State conservation area, this looping walking track is a wonderful way to explore the rainforest. Walk under a canopy of cabbage tree palms and through lush vegetation. Keep a watchful eye out for native wildlife; including the grey-headed flying foxes.

10. Ourimbah Mountain Biking

The Ourimbah State Forest is home to an incredible XC track and downhill track and is approximately 10km. The advanced track is incredibly well maintained with cleverly designed technical sections and jumps.

11. Go a little Jamaican

At Mumbo Jumbo's in Terrigal. Opening from 3 June for 50 people, remember to make a booking to enjoy one (or two or three) of their signature cocktail jugs alongside some scrumptious Caribbean food!
