A coastal oasis, The Quarters at Forresters Beach has something for all tastes
Driving down the Central Coast Highway you could be forgiven for overlooking The Quarters at Forresters Beach. Set back off the main road the entry gates mask a surprising oasis that seamlessly brings together beauty treatments, coastal eats, quality cocktails together with complete relaxation.
Following a major renovation and beautification effort by owners Warren and Donna Hughes, The Quarters Forresters Beach reopened in style in November 2021 and is now home to much more than accommodation.
The Quarters features a beautiful collection of local businesses whose offering couldn’t be further apart but complementary at the same time. Taking a wander around the property we started with the accommodation.

Acquired in April, the property was in desperate need of an update with the massive overhaul resulting in a stunning 34 room hotel that can sleep up to 100 people. For those looking for a special occasion venue or wedding destination The Quarters makes for a perfect choice with a dedicated events space positioned within just steps of everything.
Barely recognisable from its former life, owner Donna, an interior designer by trade, and has leaned towards a Coastal Hamptons look for the interior selections and colour palette. The minimalist styling bringing a light and breezy feel, which flows beautifully from indoors to the balcony area which overlooks the spectacular outdoor pool.

The Pantry
Known for not doing anything by halves, The Pantry owners Tara and Nick have once again lived up to their reputation for producing exceptional eats and drinks experiences. Tara’s growing list of hospo venues, which includes the Central Coast's Pinocchios Wine & Pizza Bar in Gosford and Motel Mezza in Wyong, now adds The Pantry to the list.
As you enter The Quarters and make your way towards The Pantry you get the sense a whole lot of love has gone into creating a warm and welcoming space as Nick explained,
“When we were initially asked about taking on the venue it was a little daunting, however, as soon as we walked in we knew we had to do it and could picture what it was going to look like."
The soft pink hues, brass fixtures and significant wine wall indicates this isn't your typical cafe stop. Whether you're a guest of the hotel or just dropping in, the poolside venue offers an all-day brunch menu, which means you can order yourself a cocktail, wine, or coffee, to match your delicious morning, lunch and afternoon eats.
When it comes to the menu their coastal influence has been reflected with Tara explaining,
“Executive Chef Joshua Grant is looking after all three of our venues, overseeing all the menus and staff, and does a phenomenal job.”
“With this particular menu we’ve continued the coastal theme with seafood dishes being a big part of the menu selections. Our signature dish, the Balmain Bug Slider is hard to go past.”
Aside from the quality food and drinks menu, the welcoming friendly vibes are what has you getting comfy and putting this on the must-return-very-soon list.

Life and work partners, Peter and Shauna Watts have launched You By Dr Shauna Watts at The Quarters, a beautiful Cosmetic Medicine Clinic that is a business first for the couple.
Together they offer more than 20 plus years of medical experience with Shauna’s interest in aesthetic medicine seeing her lecturer at The University of Sydney Medical School. Passionate not only about the cosmetic and medical industry, Shauna explains getting to know her clients is as important to her as the treatments themselves,
“We like to come at it from lots of angles and take a more holistic picture, so we spend a lot of time getting to know our clients, which I really enjoy doing.”
“We can obviously advise people on having wrinkle relaxers, fillers and threads however if someone’s lifestyle isn’t a particularly healthy one the treatment isn’t going to have the desired effect. So what we prefer to do is develop an aesthetic journey which allows us to look at someone’s skin and lifestyle and create a plan around what’s right for them.”
“I like to make sure all the questions are asked, and they have all the information needed so they can go home and think about it, with no pressure to do anything they’re not sure about.”

The Gilded Anchor
To complement The Pantry day time offering, The Gilded Anchor is The Quarters go to venue for all things evening and getting social.
Whether it's taking a seat at the cocktail bar, within the restaurant space or catching some afternoon rays out on the deck, The Gilded Anchor provides guests with the opportunity to relax and enjoy the share style menu together with a quality cocktail, wine and craft beer menu.
Whilst the venue has an obvious nautical theme the smart interiors blend seamlessly within The Quarters overall coastal aesthetic and makes for the ideal place to begin your evening following a tough day poolside.

Launching Mid-December, this will be owner Grace Taylor's first solo venture and is bringing to The Quarters her more than 11 years of hair experience.
The beautiful boutique salon will boast chic, earthy tones complemented with luxe brass finishings all of which will be showcased under the breath of natural skylights. With The Pantry located just next door, why not take the time to not only enjoy your salon time but grab that morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine or cocktail for a fully transformative experience.
